$ASML: A monopoly that just confirmed its throne
There are companies that are good, companies that are great. And then there’s ASML — a company without which modern civilization literally cannot manufacture chips. No other company in the world can do what they do. And the results for 2025 only confirmed that.

Portfolio under the microscope: My exposure to Dutch stocks – why I hold $ADYEN and am waiting for $ASML
In my portfolio I currently hold only one Dutch stock – $ADYEN.AS . I have two positions in it with a combined weight of about 3% of the portfolio. Both are currently at a loss, but I stay calm and hold them with a medium-term horizon and a target price around 1530 USD.

$ASML is a great company — I bought around $600 and I’m not going to sell! But I didn’t know Adyen and I’ll definitely take a look at the company, thanks!
ASML reported results that were excellent. The company is also gradually reducing its dependence on China, which makes me happy. The shares are up 9% in after-hours trading, and it’s quite possible that, thanks to positive sentiment, they could reach $2,000 within a few weeks.
Do you have $ASML in your portfolio? Do you think the stock could reach $2,500 this year?

I note that a 143% quarter‑over‑quarter increase in orders is extreme. Demand is clearly real, and I see having money in chipmakers now as a safe bet over the next three years.
European stocks in my portfolio — why I prefer the USA
In the long term I don’t trust most European stocks due to weak economic growth, strict regulation, and lower upside compared with the USA. Therefore, in my dollar portfolio I focus mainly on American stocks, where I see better returns and more opportunities to benefit from innovation.
Today, after the drop (around -1.8% to...

If Trump attacks Greenland, assets owned by Europeans in the US could theoretically be frozen. Similar to what’s happening now with assets in Russia. That would be pretty brutal, wouldn't it?

Hello investors! I'm personally interested in your opinion on the company $ASML. My buy price is €640 and the current value is €1,071. I'm thinking about selling a small portion of my gains, which are wonderful, and reinvesting them elsewhere. I'm curious whether you would sell or not. I definitely don't intend to sell the majority of the shares because the company dominates...

For me, a logical step is to sell about one third of the position and keep the rest with a new target. But it depends on your specific strategy. I do this quite often—even when trading. If the position is larger or riskier, it can make sense to sell two thirds and keep the last third to see if it appreciates further. That way I’m still in the market and avoid the FOMO effect, but I’ve also locked in profit and can’t lose it anymore. If the price falls, I’ll sell that last third as well.

Good evening investors,
I’d like to ask what you think about the recent investment by $ASML in Mistral AI, where after investing €1.3 billion it became the largest shareholder with an 11% stake? And what impact do you think this will have on the company?
Although CEO $ASML Christophe Fouquet emphasized that the main purpose is to use AI within the company itself and that they...

There's a lot in there, but for me it's definitely $NFLX and it will be interesting to see the stock reaction to the tariffs today.
Trump plans to raise tariffs on the European Union again. He wants to impose a 30% tariff on member states. European stocks are likely to fall on Monday, which could create interesting opportunities. If that happens, I would like to buy $ASML and $NVO.
What are your thoughts on this? Which European stocks would you potentially buy?

If we go lower again, I'm going into $ASML on the tute because I didn't buy that in the downturn and I definitely want to increase my position in it. In health care I don't know, I'm not going there yet because Trump isn't done there and who knows what he'll impose on it. 🤷♂️
Which company in your portfolio do you think has the biggest competitive advantage?
For me, it's definitely $ASML, because it basically has a monopoly and the world couldn't function without it. I would choose $PLTR as my second firm because it has a strong position and a very good name with the US government.

I would also pick $ASML because there are few companies like that on the market and the current valuation is still great.
Trump announced a 50% tariff on all imports from the European Union, which could be a big problem and could hurt European companies a lot. Nevertheless, I hope that the situation will calm down. So I am not changing my opinion and I still hold $ASML and $NVOshares .
What about you? Will you continue to invest in European stocks despite the current situation?

Since everything is different, I'm fine with that and we'll see how Trump deals with them.

It's not good news for these two companies, but it doesn't change my opinion and I think AMD is a great company with a lot of potential.

ASML has a great position, sure, but semiconductors are an extremely cyclical business influenced by a lot of external factors — geopolitics, various export bans, and whether customers like TSMC or Samsung are willing to pour billions into new fabs. And one more thing occurs to me: if chip performance started being pushed more by packaging, chiplets, and smarter architecture instead of ever-smaller transistors, ASML might not be as indispensable as it seems today.
