Another contract in the chain of defense agreements

Lockheed Martin announced a contract modification with the U.S. Army worth approximately $101.6 million. At first glance this is not a major sum compared with the company’s billion-dollar projects, but the market sees it as further evidence of steady demand for defense services.

American defense stocks are experiencing one of their best days in months today!

US President Donald Trump announced today that the state defense budget will be increased from 1 trillion USD to 1.5 trillion USD per year. The increase is therefore considerable.

Shares in the defense industry are responding with strong gains, led by $LMT, $RTX and $NOC.

I'm still wondering whether to focus in the defense industry on larger companies like $LMT and $RHM.DE, or look for more growth-oriented stocks, such as $AVAV. I prefer smaller companies, but the problem is they tend to be much pricier than the big ones.

What do you think makes more sense? Invest in $LMT or in $AVAV?

Several stocks have fallen nicely this week, creating interesting opportunities. For example, $LMT and $PMhave dropped significantly, but I' m not really interested in those yet and I'm more waiting for $TSLA and $GOOG.
