Why you invest?
Maybe a basic question, but I find that the muddy reasons are sometimes quite different :) for me, for example, to have my basic expenses covered from my "passive" and thus have more freedom over how I spend my time.

I have quite a mix of everything, but primarily I want something similar to you, I would like to be supported only by investments and let's say some passive income from them at a certain time and then I also want to be secured and when I have children, so that the children are also secured for as long as possible.
great, clearly some inheritance would be great if the kids get to take after me :D
The inheritance and providing for the children isn't the primary goal, but I'd like to accomplish it. I would like my kids to do almost anything ( except drugs and illegal stuff :D) and not be so dependent on salary and money.
Primarily increasing income, preparing for retirement and I love the feeling of having money working for me.
I feel the same way, I also have a good feeling about it, when the money creates more money, instead of lying on the stove, especially when now the stove will not be much again
Savers will be useless again, we have all the other options!
So that I can have a diversified income and thus more freedom.
