📈💼Caterpillar, the dividend aristocrat still has something to offer!
Caterpillar Inc $CAT, is a manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. Founded in 1925, it is headquartered in the United States and is known for its iconic yellow color and the durability of its products. Caterpillar is included in the S&P 500 and S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats index , a testament to its long-term financial stability and ability to regularly increase dividends.
The company announced a$20 billion increase in share repurchase authorization and an increase in its quarterly dividend of 8 %.
🛠️ Caterpillar can now repurchase its common stock for up to $21.8 billion. The company plans to continue to return nearly all of the free cash flow from its engineering, energy and transportation (ME&T) business to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases.
The company already pays higher annual dividends to shareholders 30 years in a row and is a member of the prestigious S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats index. This index includes companies that have increased dividends annually for the past 25 years.
💵 The dividend has been raised to 1.41 USD per common share, payable in August.
🌍 Shares of this global economic icon have gained nearly 12 % thanks to increased infrastructure spending under the$1 trillion U.S. Infrastructure Act , keeping demand for big machines strong. However, it's not just in America where the demand for these machines is high, just look at the Czech highways and the construction of the new D4, where machines from this very company abound!
Caterpillar is not only strengthening its position in the market, but it is also paying a steady dividend, which makes it an interesting investment opportunity. 🚜
What do you think of this industrial machinery manufacturer? Do you know any other manufacturers?
For me, a great company that makes me happy. I'm thinking of buying today.
Well, good question. Other manufacturers of excavators and similar equipment probably not. Tatra is "just" cars, but... It's a great company. Now at a slight discount from the top.
