Yesterday, $PG announced the results. Revenues rose 6% to $21.9 billion compared to $20.6 billion in the same period last year. Organic sales growth, excluding the impact of foreign exchange and acquisitions, was 7%. Net earnings per share rose 17% to $1.83. Maybe no terror for some, but I'm happy with them. On Friday, Procter & Gamble reports its results. This company is in the drugstore business and makes many well-known products. I'm definitely interested in the results of $GOOGL, $PG, $MCD, and I'm also interested in the results of $MMM because of where they are. A bit off topic from the classic stocks we cover here, but if we look at the most capitalised US companies, the top ranks are also companies like $UNH $LLY $PG etc. Which according to the chart appear to be endlessly growing companies, which I admit I don't know as much about as the companies we all know like Microsoft, Apple... Of the three, I'd probably only be interested in the $PG, but it's too expensive.
Everything grows only with positive macro news, but I would still welcome dips, even significant ones :D
We are finally seeing some decline in stocks like $MCD $PEP $PG $KO and $SBUX has been added as well I think the decline is not over and so finally those new here will be able to buy into these good stocks for at least some first position to possibly dilute further.. :) It's just a shame that $MSFT and $GOOG haven't joined in yet... :)
For this company, the results are great. I would love to include PG stock in my portfolio, but the stock is too expensive right now.
