AB Volvo is a Swedish multinational company headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, specializing in the manufacture of trucks, buses, construction equipment, and marine and industrial engines. Founded in 1927 as an automobile manufacturer, it has gradually expanded into other areas of transportation and heavy industry. In 1999, Volvo Cars was separated and sold to Ford Motor Company, and since 2010, it has been owned by the Chinese company Geely Holding Group. AB Volvo is publicly traded on the Swedish stock exchange under the ticker VOLV-B.
