How do you see AMC stock $AMC-0.9%? I've been seeing a lot of talk lately (especially from American investors) comparing their future to $BBBY and expecting a similar jump from $5 over there to $30. The reason is unclear to me though.

All things considered, AMC is planning a lot of moves, but none of them should cause growth. On the contrary, they want to issue new shares and are looking for additional capital to run.

Anyone here have insight?

A big covid boom from which the stock will probably not recover for many years. Right now, it's really just something to watch

Well, not much so far...

I'll admit it. I don't watch it anymore. It's one of the two titles where I got burned early in my investing, I put $100 into it and I'm something like 80% in the red, so I've been told I'll hold on if they come back from the dead, but I'm not counting on it, it's already come back elsewhere. So if they're looking for ways, go for it. 😂

What led you to invest in AMCs at these levels? 😄

Stupid. 😂 It was one of the first stocks I ever started investing in. The first to go was of course the big tech sector. I didn't make a mistake there, it was down, but then I'm like, don't just have this, diversify, so I tried 2 things which well ... they're gone, namely this, I said to myself, I like movies, I like movies, and after covid it'll pick up again for sure, but shit, and then I bought Novavax too, thinking that there's more of its covid series to come. And just without any analysis, I didn't know and couldn't do much before. 🤦‍♂️

Classic, they speculate and that's why they see similarities to BBBY here. But the truth is that the similarities are so the share price. They want to get new shares and in addition they are doing something with the APE using strange moves to convert it to equity.

Well specifically they want to convert the good performing APE units into AMCs and increase the number of shares.

I saw the APE thing. I rather don't understand how APE can be +45% YTD and AMC only 19%.
