🌟 AT&T: Quarterly results and a look into the future!

I'll add a few more interesting facts to Lukas' post!
AT&T $T ended 2024 with remarkable results that not only validate their strategic decision, but also open up new opportunities for future growth. 🚀

Market success and exceeding expectations: In the last quarter of the year, AT&Tachieved revenues of $32.3 billion, slightly above analysts' expectations. Earnings per share came in at $0.54, significantly higher than the $0.49predicted . This success is the result of disciplined execution of strategy and aggressive expansion in the fiber optic business, as confirmed by CEO John Stankey. 📡

Customer loyalty and steady growth: One of the most notable achievements is the extremely low customer churn rate in the postpaid handset segment, which is only 0,85 %. This indicates high customer satisfaction and loyalty. Overall, AT&T reported revenue of $122.3 billion for 2024 and free cash flow of $17.6 billion, a year-over-year increase of $0.9 billion. 📱

Divisional growth: Mobility division grew to USD 65.4 billion, an increase of 3,5 %, driven by increased service revenue and equipment upgrades. The Consumer Fiber section continued its impressive growth for the seventh consecutive year, with more than 1 million new users, and broadband revenue grew by 7,2 %. 🌍

Outlook: For 2025, AT&T reaffirms its targets for steady revenue and EBITDA growth . Despite earnings per share expectations of $1.97 to $2.07 falling short of Wall Street consensus (USD 2.18), the company is firmly committed to expanding its fiber optic networks, bolstering 5G coverage and maintaining robust cash flow. 📈

The company's shares responded by rising more than 7 %. With these moves,AT&T is positioning itself as a leader in the telecom industry and is ready to face whatever challenges the future brings. 🏆

What is your opinion of AT&T?

At one time I thought about selling the stock, but I'm still holding and am now in a nice profit and the dividend is great too.

It's great for the company. Along with Verizon $VZ they are good companies, but I wouldn't personally buy into the portfolio. As dividend stocks it works nicely though.
