Intel launches new AI chips at CES 2025
At the prestigious CES 2025 technology show, Intel unveiled its latest mobile chips aimed at commercial PC users. This news, the Intel Core Ultra 200V series of processors, comes at a time when businesses are expected to make a massive transition to Windows 11 thanks to the end of support for Windows 10, which could significantly boost chip and device sales.
The Intel Core Ultra 200V, the second generation of Core Ultra processors, brings improvements in performance, battery life and the ability to process AI tasks directly on the device. While the consumer model was launched back in September, these processors are now making their way to enterprise customers.
The AI and power efficiency improvements are in response to competition from AMD and Qualcomm. AMD already introduced its AI Pro 300 series in October, while Qualcomm is making progress with its Snapdragon X Elite chips for Windows PCs.
