Well, it's a good thing I bought that Abbot for $100. Results mark ideal despite lowered expectations for the rest of the year regarding sales from covid products.

Abbott $ABT-0.4% achieved $4.3 billion in quarterly sales for its medical devices versus estimates of $4.1 billion. Abbott reported second-quarter earnings of $1.08 per share, above the company's estimate of $1.05 per share.

I'm not familiar with this company, but it looks interesting.
Thanks for the tip.

Another medical failsafe :)

I don't have it in my portfolio, but the results are great :) maybe I'll include it

While I don't have Abbott in my portfolio, I think healthcare companies are an ideal portfolio component. The decline from covid sales is expected, I just read that they increased it a bit.

Covid was really an exception. That's not to be overlooked.
