📅Important events to watch in the coming week! 📊
This week will bring us a number of important events that will affect the financial markets. However, the most important in my opinion will be Nvidia's results and inflation data. Here is a summary of the interesting things in the week ahead:
✈️Monday
Preliminary durable goods orders for July: expected to rise by 4,2 %, which would be a significant turnaround from June's decline of -6,7 %. These orders reflect business investment activity, a key indicator of economic growth. 📈
Results: Trip.com $TCOM: The results of one of the largest travel companies may be an indication of how the travel industry is faring .
🏡Tuesday
Conference Board consumer confidence for August: stable reading expected 100,1. This index measures consumer sentiment, which is key to estimating consumer spending.
House Price Index: Slight increase of 0,3 % would indicate continued stability in the housing market, which is an important indicator of economic health.

🎮Middle
Results: Before the markets open, we'll learn the results of another Canadian bank , Royal Bank of Canada $RY, Polish gaming company CD Projekt $CDR.WA, best known for its successful series Witcher RPG series.
After the markets close, Nvidia $NVDA 's results will be the most important for me , as their chips are key to growth in areas artificial intelligence and the gaming industry, the company is able to influence the mood in this important sector. Other interesting results will be presented by the cybersecurity giant CrowdStrike $CRWD, but it is facing criticism due to the recent global IT service outage. Salesforce $CRM will also release its results , this company provides cloud-based solutions for customer and business process management. The last company I'll be watching for results from is technology company HP $HPQ, which focuses on consumer electronics.
🏭Thursday
Initial jobless claims: expected 235 000 claims, which would be a slight increase from the previous week. This figure is an important indicator of the state of the labor market. 👷♂️ Personal Income and Q2 GDP: Personal income is expected to rise by 0,5 % and confirmation of GDPgrowth of 2,8 % point to a stable economy, but markets will be watching closely for any deviations.
Results: After the markets close , technology companies Dell $DELL and Marvell Technology $MRVLwill present results . Dell offers a broad portfolio of IT products and services, while Marvell Technology specializes in semiconductor development and manufacturing.
💵Friday
Personal spending and inflation (PCE) for July: spending is expected to rise modestly by 0,5 % and inflation at 2.7% y/y. This indicator is important for the central bank in making monetary policy decisions. A steady rise in inflation may indicate that inflation is under control, but at the same time the market remains wary of a possible reaction from the Fed. 🔥
This week will be full of important economic data and corporate earnings that could significantly impact the markets.
It's important to watch how different sectors react and how macroeconomic indicators that indicate the future direction of the economy evolve.
