Trump and Meta have entered into an agreement to settle the lawsuit
Former US President Donald Trump has signed an agreement to settle a lawsuit he filed against Meta after he was blocked from using Facebook and Instagram in 2021. The agreement, a preliminary version of which has been made public, stipulates that Meta will pay approximately $25 million.

The move comes at a time when Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is trying to improve relations with Trump, who regained influence after winning the 2024 presidential election. Zuckerberg not only donated $1 million to Trump's inauguration, but also attended the ceremony in person alongside members of the new administration.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Trump and Zuckerberg discussed the deal back in November when Zuckerberg met with Trump at his private club. The development shows a dramatic turnaround in the two men's relationship.
