Irish low-cost airline $RYAAY Ryanair Holdings has posted a record profit for the first half of its financial year. Their profits rose 59% to €2.18 billion. It also promised to pay a regular dividend to investors for the first time.
Ryanair is great, but I'd say there are more interesting pieces in the valuation segment. And there won't be few of them. The dividend is interesting news.
How do you see the airlines and the entire airline industry at the current price point? Do you think it has something to offer for the future and are you investing? I'm looking at the carved out $BA$SAVE$RYAAY.... stocks from this sector and it makes me wonder if I should dive in more, analyze and maybe buy some of the titles.
The shares of these companies are not very stable, but that's probably not a bad thing. I wouldn't take it as a long-term investment, but for a medium-term trade, I think $BOEI.BR or $DAL are great.
