$COST announced the results:
Net sales for the 17-week Q4 were $77.43 billion, up 9.4% year-over-year from $70.76 billion in the 16-week Q4 last year. For the 53-week fiscal year, net sales were $237.71 billion, up 6.7% year-over-year from $222.73 billion in the 52-week fiscal year 2022.
Net income for the 17-week Q4 was $2.160 billion, or $4.86 per diluted share, compared to $1.868 billion, or $4.20 per share, in the 16-week Q4 last year.
For the 53-week fiscal year, net income was $6.292 billion, or $14.16 per share, compared to $5.844 billion, or $13.14 per share, in the prior 52-week fiscal year.
We have a little bit of a drop here in the premarket. Prices are still around the peaks. Around $520, one could consider entering a position for a shorter period of time, but for an investment, the price would have to go much lower.
