I saw that W. Buffett was selling $BAC+3.2%stock again . The reason for the sale is unknown, so I'd like to ask you. Is there a reason why he is divesting the bank's stock now, ahead of the impending interest rate cut, or is it just to realize profits? 🤔

I didn't do any digging. If I had to guess, I'd say he sold it to collect a profit and get cash.
I still hold $BAC+3.2% stock.

Banks have grown a lot in the last few years. I only have $JPM+1.4% and will not be adding more to my portfolio. The gains there are pretty nice.

I think it's just as you write at the end, that he just knows the Fed will cut now and continue to do so. Even next year then unless something goes wrong. Oh and low interest rates means less profit for the bank. So the price may stagnate and maybe even the dividend. I personally am holding and will continue to hold because I have a good position there and I think the dividend will still be there and it is nice. Of course maybe he wants more so he will sell and buy something that will benefit from the low rates, but who knows, he has plenty of capital again. 😊
