Yesterday, the CEO of Stellantis resigned and the CEO of Intel also left.
Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger resigned yesterday. In the final analysis, I don't know if this is good news or bad news. We'll see how $INTCstock reacts after the market opens.
What do you think about the departure of Intel's CEO? Is it good news or bad news?
I'm not surprised at Intel anymore, but they have the opportunity to put a better CEO in there now
I also don't know if this is good or bad news for Stellantis, a lot will depend on what the new CEO is like and whether he will be able to run the company.
I was surprised by both reports. We'll see at Intel and hopefully someone better will step in.
For me, it's a pretty bad signal because he walked away from a job he was given and if the board thinks that this tech company is better run by finance and marketing executives at this point, that's pretty damning. They may well have had disagreements about financial results (big spending with uncertain outcomes) but this is exactly what this company needs. Massively invest in talent and technology while Intel is laying off so TSMC and Samsung in the US is hiring those employees and increasing their technology lead.
