☁️ Oracle and the battle for the cloud: 23% growth in the AI era! 🚀
Oracle Corporation $ORCL is an American technology company specializing in database systems, cloud services and enterprise software. It is best known for its Oracle Database relational database and Oracle Cloud platform .

The company released results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025, where cloud revenue grew by 23 %. Still, total revenue and earnings per share fell slightly short of analysts' expectations, showing how high expectations are set in the fast-growing AI and cloud sector.

📊 Key numbers:
Total revenue: $14.13 billion (Expectations: $14.38 billion)

Earnings per share (EPS): $1.47 (Expectation: $1.49)

Cloud revenue: $6.2 billion (+23% YoY)

Cloud infrastructure (IaaS) revenue: $2.7 billion (+49% YoY)

Cloud application services (SaaS) revenue: $3.6 billion (+9% YoY)

Dividend increase: +25% to $0.50 per share

Oracle is successfully transforming its business towards cloud and AI, as evidenced by strong growth in the cloud segments. Yet Amazon's competition (AWS) and Microsoft (Azure) remains strong and the market expectsOracle to expand even faster.

📈 The main drivers of growth:
Partnerships with OpenAI and Nvidia $NVDA - Oracle is strengthening its position in AI and plans to double data center capacity.

Multi-year cloud contracts - Backlog of orders reached 130 billion, indicating stable long-term demand for cloud services.

🔮 What to expect next?
Oracle plans aggressive expansion in AI and cloud infrastructure, which will support the expected 15% revenue growth in the next fiscal year. Increased investments in AI and data centers can strengthen the company's long-term competitiveness.

Oracle is building a strong position in cloud and AI, but the growth rate is not yet large enough to satisfy the market. Still, the company is in good shape and could be an interesting long-term bet on hybrid cloud and AI.

📊 How do you see it? Does Oracle have a chance to compete with Amazon and Microsoft in cloud solutions?

I've never been very interested in this company, so I have bought its competitors($GOOG, $AMZN).

Oracle is an interesting company, but I preferred to bet on $AMZN and now I'm still buying on the downside.

The results have been great and the company is growing nicely. The stock has fallen significantly recently, which could be a good opportunity to establish a position.
