Hello investors, I have a question about the results from Activision Blizzard.
Where are the results of this company published after the acquisition by $MSFT? Are their 3Q results included in the gaming segment with Microsoft's results ?
Thanks for the answers in the comments, I have no experience with this yet.
ATVI was officially bought on 13/10, so I could see the next earning still separate and maybe even then it will take a while to incorporate those results under MSFT gaming.
Investors, which companies' results will you be watching next week?
I'm very interested in the results of $MMM, $KO, $MSFT, $GOOGL$WM, $META or maybe $AMZN. Next week will be very interesting as far as company results are concerned and I'm very interested and looking forward to the results of several companies.
This week is going to be big, there is a lot of it, but most of all I am waiting for info around $ENPH where it has already fallen quite a lot and where I am quite invested, so I wonder what the next drop will be, which I rather expect, but hopefully not so big.
The UK antitrust regulator CMA has approved the revised deal for the acquisition of game developer $ATVI by $MSFT.
How do you feel about this acquisition, which has been dragging on for over a year. I haven't found a report anywhere on how it will work out with shareholders, does anyone have any information? @lukasandel and I discussed this in a recent post.
It's been dragging on for a really long time and it's great that it's getting finished. I don't own shares of either company, but if $MSFT's share price gets below $300, I'd probably buy already.
Microsoft plans to launch its own AI chip next month!
Microsoft is reportedly planning to launch its own AI chip to reduce its dependence on Nvidia in particular.
The chip will be similar to Nvidia's GPUs and is designed to run data center servers. This makes the chip less power-hungry. For data centers, power consumption is critical because data centers run 24/7.
So it's not just $MSFT that has resorted to a big investment in AI this year in the form of an investment in OpenAI. $AMZN has announced that it will invest up to $4 billion in artificial intelligence startup Anthropic.
As part of the deal, Anthropic will use Amazon's custom chips in its AI software. Amazon then agreed to use its startup partner's technology in its products... Read more
What is a better investment for you? Sony $SONY with its Playstation, or a competitor in the form of $MSFT with its Xbox? Who could be the future winner in the game console sector?
A friend and I were having a discussion today about whether $GOOGL or $MSFT is a better investment in the current situation, so I thought I'd ask you too. Which of these two companies do you think is a better investment for the long term these days?
I guess I don't care :D. Of course if I had to pick it would probably be $MSFT, but currently the stock is expensive and I wouldn't buy it. I have $GOOGL stock in my portfolio and am very happy. I mean, I don't have a problem with having MSFT stock in my portfolio but I also have GOOGL :D
Have a good weekend, investors. How do you feel about the dependence of tech giants like $MSFT$GOOGL$AMZN on artificial intelligence chips from $NVDA?
These tech giants are progressing in developing their own chips for their data centers with AI deployment. An important example is $MSFT 's recent investment in d-Matrix, a company that designs optimized chips to power... Read more
Big tech companies are "threatened" by the European Union + Apple is now in trouble in China.
Amazon $AMZN, Alphabet $GOOG, Apple $AAPL, Microsoft $MSFT, Meta $META and ByteDance (is a Chinese internet technology company) now have six months to comply with stricter market rules.
I don't really get it and it annoys me terribly ( to put it politely). As soon as a country, or in this case the EU, needs money it goes after companies that are doing well. It pisses me off that when a country or the EU needs money and they have a huge debt they go after these companies. Otherwise, I'm not worried about Apple. Apple will and probably already is building factories in India and will target India, so I don't see a problem there.
The SP500 index is up over 14% for the year, which is very respectable. The $SPY is up this year mainly due to technology stocks, which are up tens of % this year and some are even up over 100%, such as $NVDA or $META. The SP500 is rising this year mainly thanks to $AAPL, $MSFT, $NVDA, $META, $AMZN and $GOOGL. However, the question is whether these technology stocks will... Read more

I'm not going to write any direct news today, rather I just want to give space to discuss how you think this first busy week is going so far and JPMorgan's outlook for today's Fed meeting, which I'm sure we will all be watching closely. 😊
Great, nicely written again. I'm also interested in the results of a few companies and the Fed didn't surprise in the end and raised interest rates by 25bps. I'm really enjoying this week😁.
Microsoft's fiscal quarter earnings revealed a gradual decline in Azure cloud revenue growth that overshadowed quarterly gains. Microsoft reported year-over-year revenue growth from Azure and other cloud services of 26% for the fourth quarter, down 1 percentage point from the previous quarter.
I'm curious to see what results $MMM will report today given the lawsuits that are dragging on with this company. But I won't miss the results from $MSFT either. Which results are you looking forward to today?
ATVI was officially bought on 13/10, so I could see the next earning still separate and maybe even then it will take a while to incorporate those results under MSFT gaming.
