Well, the last Iphone announcement didn't really shoot up the stock and what I think and what is expected is that the 15 will be iphone 14 again with just a few extra improvements, so I wouldn't count on the Iphone, it would have to be a really ultra bomb :D

Plus, there are leaks out there of what's coming, it shouldn't be a surprise, everything should be in action already.

I also don't think it's gonna be anything groundbreaking right now.

I have shares of $AAPL+0.5%, but I'm terribly sorry I didn't buy more. However, the stock makes me happy and it's quite possible that the new Iphone could send the stock up.

I understand that:D I sometimes think so too in retrospect, but at the same time I'm glad I have it spread out elsewhere, you never know. Anyway, I'm curious to see what happens in the fall :)

Exactly, you need to diversify your portfolio too :D

You already know my opinion :-D

Yes :)

If Apple has the need to churn out a new phone every now and then, hopefully sony and tsmc subcontractors will at least make a decent profit on it at much better valuations. Apple is priced for a flawless scenario, anything else will be a disappointment and the backlash will follow.

I like $TSM'+1.6%s expansion plans. I'm not worried about geopolitical risk, so I'm holding the stock and I'm not looking to sell anytime soon.

I still don't know what to think in terms of geopolitics, but since I don't own the stock, I'm a little worried about it :D

They could make a lot of money out of it. Moreover, now TSMC will switch to more modern 4nm chips and thus will save Apple money and I would think that they will secure their position as a subcontractor :) I do not own their shares, how do you perceive the geopolitical risk of TSMC?

I'll repeat myself, but geopolitical risk is also being taken by Apple investors and quite possibly everyone who holds US stocks. The only difference is that they don't realize it and are paying very different prices for those stocks.

Not expecting much interest in new IPhones right now, on the one hand I'm not surprised, I love Apple, I have enough of them, but to buy a new phone every year seems pointless to me.

I have the same view, I don't think the 15 will have enough news to set a record for sales, there's honestly a lot of news.

Exactly, the news isn't major, and unless there's a big change coming, there won't be a need to change 14 for 15 for a lot of customers. I'm sure that's fine for $TSM+1.6% which continues to make chips for mobile phones.

Agreed. I even have "only" 13 and I don't expect to get 15 even now. I just find it unnecessary when even now a 2 generation old cell phone runs beautifully like new. I reckon I won't consider buying one until 16, maybe 17 then. 😂
