Google $GOOGL+0.7% is reportedly considering to stop using Broadcom $AVGO+2.8% as an AI chip supplier from 2027. In such a scenario, Google would completely design the chips known as TPUs in-house. The move could save billions of dollars in costs annually. What do you think? 🤔

A friend and I were having a discussion today about whether $GOOGL+0.7% or $MSFT-0.1% is a better investment in the current situation, so I thought I'd ask you too. Which of these two companies do you think is a better investment for the long term these days?

I guess I don't care :D. Of course if I had to pick it would probably be $MSFT-0.1%, but currently the stock is expensive and I wouldn't buy it. I have $GOOGL+0.7% stock in my portfolio and am very happy. I mean, I don't have a problem with having MSFT stock in my portfolio but I also have GOOGL :D
Investors, which stock in your portfolio is the most profitable this year and how much % is it up ?
In my portfolio, $GOOGL+0.7% stock is the most in profit this year by 39%. I would very much like to see $NVDA+1.7% stock in my portfolio, however somehow I have not focused on this company and unfortunately I have not bought the stock :D.
Have a good weekend, investors. How do you feel about the dependence of tech giants like $MSFT-0.1% $GOOGL+0.7% $AMZN+2.5% on artificial intelligence chips from $NVDA+1.7%?
These tech giants are progressing in developing their own chips for their data centers with AI deployment. An important example is $MSFT-0.1% 's recent investment in d-Matrix, a company that designs optimized...

It's very possible that the tech companies will make the chips themselves and won't be so dependent on Nvidia.
ARM HOLDINGS is gearing up for a spectacular initial public offering to test the market's interest in a major technology company. But its target valuation suggests it is resigned to not being the next Nvidia.
According to The Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter, British chipmaker Arm is seeking a valuation for its initial share offering on the Nasdaq...

I was very interested in this company, but somehow I forgot about it, so thank you for reminding me. I'll have to take a quick look at the company and I'll definitely be following the IPO at least a little :)
Arm has signed agreements with large technology firms for IPOs worth $50 billion to $55 billion.
Apple Inc $AAPL+0.5%, Nvidia Corp $NVDA+1.7%, Alphabet Inc $GOOGL+0.7% and Advanced Micro Devices Inc $AMD+4.9% have agreed to invest in the chip designer's initial public offering (IPO), according to sources familiar with the matter.

The SP500 index is up over 14% for the year, which is very respectable. The $SPY+0.9% is up this year mainly due to technology stocks, which are up tens of % this year and some are even up over 100%, such as $NVDA+1.7% or $META+2.3%. The SP500 is rising this year mainly thanks to $AAPL+0.5%, $MSFT-0.1%, $NVDA+1.7%, $META+2.3%, $AMZN+2.5% and $GOOGL+0.7%. However, the question...

What two companies would you recommend to a novice investor at this time? Obviously $GOOGL+0.7% $AAPL+0.5% etc is great, but those are at a great price right now. I say maybe $O-0.6% might be a nice buy right now, or even $DIS+1.6%.

I would probably recommend $AAPL+0.5% and $CVS+2.7%. However, I don't think you can say it like this. Everyone likes something different and every investor should do their own analysis and calculate the intrinsic value of the stock. So if someone wanted to invest in stocks, I would start with bluechips stocks.
Technology stocks are up tens of % this year, some by more than 100%. For example, $META+2.3% stock is up 140% for the year and $NVDA+1.7% stock is up 180%. I'm increasingly regretting not buying tech stocks sooner and buying more of them. However, I still bought some tech stocks. I was buying $AAPL+0.5% stock at $133 and then I was still buying $GOOGL+0.7% stock at $98.

Investors, if you could only have 5 stocks in your portfolio, what would they be?
For me, it would probably be $AAPL+0.5%, $GOOGL+0.7%, $CVS+2.7%, $BRK-A+2.2% and $ASML+0.1%.
Investors, which company's results surprised you the most this week and which company's results are you looking forward to next week?
I was certainly pleased with $GOOGL's+0.7% results and surprised by $MMM'+0.4%s results as I was expecting much worse given the situation they are currently in. As for next week, I'm looking forward to and interested in the results of $PFE+0.8%, $...

$GOOGL+0.7% is growing and growing. Lately it seems to me that a lot of people are waiting for recessions when $GOOGL+0.7% goes down. But plans are in the works to come up with, for example, an improved Google Bard that should be able to design, run, monitor with adjust marketing not just campaigns, but the entire marketing concept of the company. So, it sounds unbelievable,...

It's growing nicely, and I was pleasantly surprised by yesterday's results, with sales up again. I have to say that $GOOGL+0.7% makes me happy.
It's a long time away, but if it works, why not if it saves billions.
