Bulios Flash News: Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) reported better-than-expected second quarter results. Earnings per share came in at $0.58, up from the estimated $0.57. Revenue fell 18% year-over-year to $5.4 billion, but still beat expectations of $5.32 billion.

I'm honestly surprised. Because the mines just aren't good yet, they're still going down, and that's where the other things are coming from, plus their P/E? ... like it's great, I wish them well and it pisses me off that I didn't buy. Plus the opportunity in India is great! ... they're different companies, but if I take $SBUX+1.0% for example which also had results yesterday and vice versa, the share price went down and a bit, even though their earnings are growing due to how the world is already open after Covid.
California and other states are moving to block 3M's $10.3 billion-0.1% PFAS settlement that would resolve claims against 3M over water pollution. Allegedly, they say the amount is still low and would not be a proper penalty for MMM.

Microsoft's fiscal quarter earnings revealed a gradual decline in Azure cloud revenue growth that overshadowed quarterly gains. Microsoft reported year-over-year revenue growth from Azure and other cloud services of 26% for the fourth quarter, down 1 percentage point from the previous quarter.

I didn't even know that H&M had stock too, so I looked at it today and I'm kinda staring. Leaving aside today's growth on the back of another strong set of results, here we see growth in sales from $187bn in 2020 to $223bn in 2022. It's also great to look at net profits, where we see growth from $3bn (2020) to $7bn in 2022 (not to mention 2021, where net profit was at $15bn).

Their recent growth is mainly due to a change in strategy. They are focusing more on selling their more expensive brands, targeting customers who are less vulnerable to the rising cost of living, and it's working out nicely for them too.

No, that was true for the last century with today's notion of price it can be highly exceeded because stocks reflect many more expectations and their valuations are driven by value to a lesser extent than they were and so the price can be at higher multiples of value than it was in the last century due to increased interest and expectations. the total number of people interested in a stock is simply growing much faster than the number of available shares. Well that's just my quick impression. A detailed rationale would require a lot of work which I won't do, but I wonder if any of the analysts who do this will figure it out :-)
Somehow we're missing Tesla to the moon, Tesla to $300, etc.
The last few days I see one analyst after another downgrading Tesla $TSLA+1.4% and it's no longer a clear Buy for most of them, but rather a Hold or Sell.

They are predicting a correction and it probably will be, but I think Tesla hasn't pulled out all the stops this year and tsk fo the end of the year will look at 300. That correction though probably won't go anywhere near 230 quietly může🤷♂️

I see the last sale on 5/25 and lots of both buys and sells before that to analyze it I don't want to, but would you know what time period the 160%rally is? And which sales were they?
Yesterday I invested in a new company after a long time. That company was Bank of Montreal $BMO+0.0%, which hit a two-year low. I take BMO as a long term investment, the bank is one of the most stable and profitable banks in Canada, so I welcomed the 4% drop and was finally able to buy at my desired price.

I confess I didn't know this bank at all. The numbers look nice and since I am a long term investor, this is a nice opportunity for me.
I don't own shares of $PLTR-1.6%, but the buybacks are great and if this stock made it into the index, that would be great.
